Project Engineer

The Project Engineer – Civil is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the execution of civil engineering works across the company’s projects and client sites, from design review and constructability assessment through construction, testing, and handover. The role ensures that all civil works – including earthworks, foundations, concrete and steel structures, roads, drainage, and buildings – are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with client specifications  international codes, and Omani regulations. The role also coordinates subcontractors, materials, inspections, and interfaces with other disciplines to achieve smooth and efficient project delivery.

1.  Plan, coordinate, and supervise the execution of civil works including earthworks, foundations, reinforced concrete structures, structural steel, roads, drainage, buildings, and underground utilities across project sites.
2. Review civil design drawings, specifications, and BOQs, and verify constructability and compliance with client specifications (PDO, OLNG) and applicable international codes and standards.
3.  Prepare and review method statements, ITPs, risk assessments, and work permits required for civil activities.
4.  Supervise subcontractors and site teams, monitoring productivity, workmanship, quality, and adherence to schedule.
5.  Coordinate procurement, approval, delivery, and testing of civil materials in line with project requirements.
6.   Conduct site inspections, raise and attend inspection requests (WIR/MIR), witness field and laboratory tests, and ensure timely closure of punch items and NCRs.
7.   Monitor and report physical progress, quantities executed, and manpower/equipment utilization, and support monthly invoicing and quantity certification.
8.    Interface with the client, consultants, and authorities for technical queries, approvals, permits, and inspections.
9.   Ensure all civil works are executed in full compliance with the Permit to Work (PTW) system, project HSE plans, and client HSE standards.
10.  Identify site changes, variations, and additional works, and ensure proper documentation and notification in coordination with the project manager.
11.  Maintain accurate site records, as-built drawings, and handover documentation for the civil scope.
12.  Support tendering and estimation activities with site data, technical input, and constructability reviews for civil scopes.
13.  Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to resolve interfaces and clashes during construction.  Mentor and guide junior engineers, supervisors, and foremen within the civil team.
14.  Drive continuous improvement in construction methods, quality, and cost efficiency of civil works

1. Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from a recognized university 
2. Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in civil engineering within the oil & gas, EPC, or construction sector, preferably in Oman or the GCC.
